I loved everything about my walking holiday. I do intend to return to walk the rest of the Pieterpad, probably in two more holidays. When I do so, I will certainly book with you again.

All the accommodations were fine; they were all attractive, clean, comfortable, and well-run. Without exception, the owners and managers were friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the variety of places, with the combination of B&Bs and small hotels.

The Pieterpad route was quite beautiful. It is a well-maintained trail and generally well-marked. The constant variety of forest, fields, wetlands, heather, villages, and cities made it always interesting and never monotonous.

My favorite day was the one when I walked from Venlo to Swolgen. The distance (about 21 kilometers) is easy and comfortable. The route that day included a ferry crossing, lunch on the terrace of a lovely small hotel (In de Witte Dame) in Grubbenvorst, the wetlands of Schuitwater, and fields of heather just beyond Schuitwater.

One of my strongest memories of the holiday is passing through the intense lime green waters of Schuitwater and emerging from that into purple heather. It was a glorious walking day!
